Eating sill and drinking Schnapps during Midsummer

Katarina and I just got back (7/3/99) from a wonderful trip to Sweden.  It was the first time for me to see her home country and now I can understand why she is so weird.   I'm just kidding.  Sweden is a beautiful country with rolling hills, scenic countryside, and mostly friendly people; unless you read magazines at the newsstands before you buy them or need to make change for parking, then they will be as rude as possible.

Almost everyone spoke English quite well which made life easy for me.  One of my goals is to speak "semi" fluent Swedish before we go back.

It was fun to be on vacation but we sure missed Timber while we were away.  The little guy grew a ton and almost didn't recognize us when we came back.
